Roebourne After School Learning Club

The Roebourne Learning Club supports Aboriginal and Torres Straits Islander students in Years 1-6, with literacy and numeracy support, enrichment and extension activities and opportunities in a secure and supportive environment. They can also provide individualised assistance with completion of homework tasks and practice or reinforcement of skills and understandings that are being taught during the day by classroom teachers.

The program helps students to develop positive life-long study habits, positive attitudes toward school and learning skills that contribute to educational success. The initiative is a partnership between Rio Tinto and The North West Shelf Project Partners and the Polly Farmer Foundation (PFF) - which provides program management and support.
